With deep roots in the Hudson Valley, we understand the important role that charitable giving plays in helping the communities we serve.
Currently, we offer two programs to give back: our Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation and the Ulster Savings Community Donation Program. This past year, we reached out to more than 265 non-profit, charitable organizations; donated over $351,000; and volunteered thousands of hours to help change lives for the better. Since 2001, we've given a combined total of over $9.5 million throughout the Hudson Valley!
Application deadlines for 2019 are February 22, May 24, and October 25.
"We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give of ourselves."
Sir Winston Churchill
With Churchill's sentiment in mind, the Trustees of Ulster Savings Bank decided in 2001, Ulster Savings Bank's 150th anniversary, to create and sustain a charitable foundation. While funded through Ulster Savings Bank, the Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation is operated separately based on a mission to assist the community in the areas of:
Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation Grant Program: Tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations located in Ulster, Dutchess, and Orange Counties may be eligible to apply for grants for programs and projects that provide service or benefits to the residents in their respective counties. It's never been easier to complete our Grant Application Package!
