Gardiner Art Exhibit Image

Route 44/55, Gardiner - Gardiner Art Exhibit

We would like to invite you to an opening reception at our 2201 Route 44/55, Gardiner branch on Friday, January 17, from noon–2 p.m. to celebrate their latest exhibit by quilter Diane Fenical. Her exhibit of hand-made quilts will be on display at the bank through February 27, 2020. 

Diane, an avid quiltmaker for over twenty years, creates quilts in all sizes—from lap to king-sized pieces including wall quilts, table runners, and placemats. “Quilting has become a passion of mine,” she admits. Several of her ‘Quilts of Valor’ were given to the troops at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington DC. She has won several ribbons for her creations at the Country Quilters Guild shows in Pine Bush.

38 Burnett Blvd, Poughkeepsie - Poughkeepsie Art Exhibit

We would like to invite you to an opening reception at our 39 Burnett Boulevard, Poughkeepsie branch on Friday, February 7, from noon–2 p.m. to celebrate an exhibit by artist Gala Leganof. Light refreshments will be served. Gala’s exhibit includes oil paintings, charcoal drawings, landscapes, and still lifes. It will be on display at the bank through February.

Ms. Leganof formed the Rhinebeck Art Galleries Group to promote the arts in Dutchess County and surrounding areas. She has studied oil painting and charcoal drawing techniques at the Barrett Art Center in Poughkeepsie and last September participated in a group show at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art at SUNY New Paltz. She is also a member of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts where she has organized lectures, symposia, and forums.

58 Main St., Phoenicia - Phoenicia Art Exhibit

We would like to invite you to an opening reception at our 58 Main Street, Phoenicia branch on Friday, February 14, from 2–4 p.m. to celebrate our latest art exhibit by artist Dorothea Fischer. Light refreshments will be served. Dorothea’s exhibit features Catskill Mountain landscapes in oil pastels. They will be on display at the bank through February.

Ms. Fischer is a long time resident of Woodstock, NY who enjoys painting the Catskills and surrounding gardens. “I am fascinated by the ever-changing play of color, line, and contrast in nature and love to experiment with different media,” she said. Dorothea majored in art at SUNY Ulster and has studied at the Woodstock School of Art and with private teachers. Her work has been shown at SUNY Albany, ASK in Kingston, and WAAM, where she has won awards. Several of her paintings are in private collections.
