Wall Street Branch to Feature Painter Mercedes Cecilia

Ulster Savings Bank would like to invite the public to an opening reception at their 280 Wall Street, Kingston branch on Thursday, July 25, from 2–4 p.m. to celebrate their latest art exhibit by painter Mercedes Cecilia. Her exhibit of paintings will be on display from July 22 through September 2, 2019.
Ms. Cecilia’s paintings reflect how light and nature combine on the surface of water. Following in the footsteps of the Hudson River School of artists, she celebrates the river, lakes, and forests of the Catskill Mountains. “I paint as a way of mapping the areas between light and space. Painting in front of the same place every month, year after year, allows me to observe the changes taking place in our environment,” she said. “This is the place I love every day, in every season,” she added.
