Commercial Credit Analyst

Commercial Credit Analyst will be responsible for new and existing commercial real estate loans, lines of credit and other commercial credit exposure, which is based upon credit data, public records, industry and market data and financial statements of businesses and individuals to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit. The selected candidate will prepare reports with this data making recommendations on quantitative and qualitative basis regarding credit and risk rating assessment in accordance with Ulster Savings Bank’s lending policy and procedure, as well as identifying potential or existing credit problems to assist senior management in the decision-making process. The Credit Analyst will also utilize this information to analyze existing loans in the bank’s portfolio for credit worthiness and risk assessment. $2,500.00 Sign-On BONUS!

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 1-3 years experience analyzing commercial loans including CRE, C&I, and SBA loans
  • Experience analyzing commercial loan deals ranging from $2.5MM to $5MM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed credit analyses; analyzing short and long term data
  • Make recommendations on the granting or denying of loans and provided supporting documents.
  • Spread financial statements and analyze loan applications
  • Provide thorough documentation of all financial analysis work, as well as collateral analysis
  • Maintain credit file information in bank systems
  • Perform appraise and annual reviews and assist with external loan review and bank examiners
  • Present loan analysis to Ulster Savings Board of Trustees
  • Collaborate with credit analyst staff, as well as aid business development officers, lenders, and administrative assistants
  • Any other duties management may assign

Community Mortgage Specialist

Ulster Savings Bank is looking for a Community Mortgage Specialist to originate on behalf of the Bank! The selected candidate will originate, within their assigned territory, residential mortgage loans to be made by the Bank in connection with purchase and refinancing of owner-occupied or non-owner occupied one to four family residential dwellings, except cooperative residences, and originate mortgage applications for home improvement and home equity lending. The representative will spend a minimum of 50% of their time working with and educating local nonprofits and community groups. Candidate must have the ability to interpret government regulations and mortgage loan documents, a minimum of three (3) years of prior experience, must be registered with the NMLS, must adhere to the requirements of the SAFE Act. Additionally, candidates must have the ability to work independently and prospect for new business within the market area, therefore, the ability to travel is essential. Bilingual is a requirement (Spanish.)

Inside Mortgage Specialist

We are currently seeking an Inside Mortgage Specialist to originate on behalf of Ulster Savings Bank within the banks’ lending area! Residential mortgage loans are to be made by the Bank in connection with purchase and refinancing of owner-occupied or non-owner occupied one-to-four family residential dwellings, except cooperative residences. In additional, the selected candidate will originate mortgage applications for home improvement and home equity lending, while soliciting other types of proposed loans as may be authorized in writing from time to time by the Bank. The selected candidate will cross-sell Bank’s subsidiary products, advise loan customers about the risks and benefits of various loan program alternatives as a result of the financial information the customer has provided, make outbound calls and receive incoming calls with potential clients, collect and analyze information regarding the borrower’s income, assets, investments, and debts. The selected candidate must have three (3) years of prior sales experience and must adhere to the requirements of the SAFE Act.

Ulster Savings Bank is currently seeking a Licensed Financial Representative to our growing Financial Services Department. A successful candidate will have at least two years’ worth of experience and their Series 6/7, 63, 65 & Life Insurance Licenses. The Licensed Financial Representative’s responsibilities include but are not limited to, generating annual gross commissions, scheduling new appointments every week, continually prospect new lead streams from inside and outside the organization, the ability to travel and work independently, ability to analyze data and exercise discretion and judgment in making decisions which affect the Bank and its subsidiaries, and identify potential new cross-sell for other bank products.
