Fixed Rate
Mortgages

The traditional fixed-rate mortgage has both an interest rate and monthly payment that remains constant for the life of your loan.

Fixed-rate mortgages come in 15, 20 and 30 year terms. Principal payments are the money used to pay down the balance of the loan. Interest payments are the charges paid to the lender for the privilege of borrowing the money. Fixed-rate mortgage payments consist of principal and interest payments which are amortized over the life/term of your mortgage loan.
