Wall Street Branch to Feature Painter Mercedes Cecilia

Ulster Savings Bank would like to invite the public to an opening reception at their 280 Wall Street, Kingston branch on Thursday, July 25, from 2–4 p.m. to celebrate their latest art exhibit by painter Mercedes Cecilia. Her exhibit of paintings will be on display from July 22 through September 2, 2019.

Red Hook Branch to Feature Art Studio Views Exhibit for Month of July

Ulster Savings Bank would like to invite the public to their 7296 South Broadway, Red Hook branch to enjoy their July exhibit featuring artists participating in the 2019 Art Studio Views (ASV) tour. The exhibit entitled “Twelve” celebrates ASV’s 12th anniversary, with all artwork 12”x12.” It will be on display at the branch from July 1–31, 2019.

Hudson Valley Senior Residence Awarded Grant

The Hudson Valley Senior Residence has been awarded a $3,000 grant from the Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation to purchase high-back chairs for the residents’ recreation and dining rooms. The new chairs will not only provide comfort but because they are light in weight, they will be easy to arrange and stacked for various activities

Hudson Valley Foundation for Youth Health Awarded Grant for 3rd Annual Nonprofit Meetup

The Hudson Valley Foundation for Youth Health (HVFYH) has been awarded a $1,000 grant from the Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation to support the work they do to empower children and teens to make healthful choices. The donation will be used for the 3rd Annual Nonprofit Meetup which will be held on October 24, 2019 at the Andy Murphy Midtown Neighborhood Center.

Kingston Land Trust Receives Grant to Restore African Burial Ground

The Kingston Land Trust has been awarded a $2,500 grant from the Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation to support their restoration process of the Pine Street African Burial Ground in Uptown Kingston. They are collaborating with another nonprofit, Harambee, as well as the community to restore the site, which includes an existing building, and open it to the public as a regional center for education and reflection. A future aim is to repurpose the building as an interpretative visitors’ center.

South Road Poughkeepsie Branch to Feature Artist Ilga Ziemins-Kurens

Ulster Savings Bank would like to invite the public to their 2680 South Road, Poughkeepsie branch to enjoy their latest art exhibit by artist Ilga Ziemins-Kurens. Ilga’s exhibit includes acrylic and mixed media paintings that are semi-abstract and semi-realistic. It will be on display at the branch from April 1–May 30, 2019.

Phoenicia Branch to Feature Artist Durga Yael Bernhard

Ulster Savings Bank would like to invite the public to their 58 Main Street, Phoenicia branch to enjoy their latest art exhibit by artist Durga Yael Bernhard titled ‘Eye on the Mountains.’ Her exhibit features Catskill Mountains landscape paintings and will be on display for the month of April.
