Our Bank Smart checking account is certified by Bank On National Account Standards. Bank On, led by national nonprofit organization the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund (CFEFund.org), works to ensure that everyone has access to a safe, affordable transactional banking account. These standards designate accounts with low costs, high functionality, and consumer safety. Maintain a $100 daily balance or enroll in eStatements and we will waive the $3 monthly fee. You may make an unlimited number of withdrawals from your account at Ulster Savings Bank or Allpoint ATMs using your Ulster Savings Bank Debit MasterCard® or Ulster Savings Bank ATM card.

Minimum deposit of $25 to open Bank Smart checking account. Monthly maintenance fee is $3.00. The monthly maintenance fee will be waived if ONE of the following applies: $100.00 minimum daily balance is maintained for every day of the statement cycle period or enrolled in electronic statements. Customer purchases checks. This account is not eligible for overdraft privileges.
